Composer Lina Zachari
Born in 1999 in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, Lina has a deep-rooted passion for music that shines through her work.

Having studied Composition at the Athens Conservatoire and holding a degree in piano and advanced theory, Lina's musical journey has been filled with accolades and achievements.

Her exceptional talent was recognized with the First Prize and distinction in memory of Dimitris Dragatakis for her Diploma in Composition. Lina went on to win first prize in two international competitions in 2023 with her orchestral work "Libyan Sea".

Notable for her experimental and collaborative approach to music composition, Lina has collaborated with prestigious organizations like the Greek National Opera and the Athens State Orchestra.
Having opera and musical theatre at the centre of her compositional interest is a founding member of the musical theatre group Arte Libera, aiming to produce and promote original musical-theatrical actions of contemporary aesthetics away from dogmatism.
